Mavericks Trade Luka, Shocking Sports World

Mavericks star Luka Doncic traded to Lakers in a three-way deal with Jazz, the NBA world feeling confused and betrayed.

The unprecedented trade shook the entire NBA community, disgruntled Maverick fans and stunned fellow players took to Twitter.

Retired player Paul Pierce stating on X: “Luka must have wanted out no way 😳😳😳” (@paulpierce34).

Mavs fans equally confused took to postings such as “Imagine having Luka Doncic on your team and trading him in the dead of night.” (@MakeupNMavs)

UPDATE Feb 2, 2025, 4:00 PM

Luka has finally addressed the trade, thanking the people of Dallas and the Mavericks organization.

“Dallas is a special place, and Mavs fans are special fans. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.” Via an all-social medias post. (@luka7doncic)

Fans are still bewildered about why they lost their star.

Soto Chooses Mets Over Yankees for Largest MLB Contract to Date

Juan Sotos dominant 2024 with the Yankees earns him a contract of 756 million dollars over 15 years.

He was first in total runs in the American League bringing in 128, his on-base-percentage (OBP) at .419 was second.

Soto began the 2024 season and was offered $440 million from the Yankees over 15 years.

The 23-year-old batting phenom turned it down, opting to prove he was worth more through his play.

Two things lined up for Soto in the 2024 season: Shohei Ohtani, an equally dominant player, earned a contract for $700 million.

Anthony Edwards Suspended One Game; Fines Surpass a Quarter Million

Timberwolves star Edwards was fined $35k after Thursday night’s loss and ejection to the Lakers.

Raising grand total of fines to $320k in just 60 season games, Edwards been charged with 16th technical foul, the limit for automatic suspension per NBA rule.

He faced his second technical for flopping, despite the young stars’ talent coaches and teammates alike expressing growing frustration.

“He's got to be better.” Stated TWolves coach Chris Finch. “He’s had too many outbursts. I think a lot of them [technical fouls] are deserved.”

Deebo Samuels Traded to Washington Commanders

After years of public frustration and disagreements with the 49ers organization, Deebo has finally gotten his wish.

The Commanders receive the wide receiver at the low cost of a fifth-round draft pick, a bigger steal than Watergate.

Deebo’s explosive play style with breakout quarterback Jayden Daniels throwing to him will be a must-watch duo in the 2025 season.

Deebo gave his farewell on Instagram, a montage reflecting his time in San Francisco captioned “thank you for everything!!!!!” (@1deebosr)

Amazon Outbids TNT for NBA Rights

Despite years of being the soul that kept the dwindling NBA viewer base coming back, Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille “Big Aristotle” O’Neal’s cards have been punched.
